When my boyfriend first proposed he gave me a temporary ring and we then went out together to find one. I'm glad I had the chance to look for my ring as although I'm sure my partner would have done an amazing job at picking one out, I'm going to wear it for the rest of my life, so in many ways finding the right ring is just as important as finding the right wedding dress!
I fell in love for the first ring I tried on but my boyfriend made out that it was out of his price range so we carried on looking. It was coming up to Christmas so we put off looking for a new ring until the new year. Although I chose my ring I still had the surprise factor because a few days before Christmas I came home and found notes around the house leading me to my ring which was hanging on the tree. It was romantic and I was surprise to get the ring that I fell in love with because he originally said I couldn't have it.
